We are looking for a skilled System Administrator based in Denton, Texas. You’ll work directly with business clients to manage systems, networks, and cloud environments while delivering technical support and reliable solutions. Strong communication and decision-making skills are key, along with the ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.
System Administrator Responsibilities:
- Administer and support multi-user operating systems and networks
- Configure, install, maintain, and support hardware and software
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and provide solutions
- Work directly with clients to gather requirements and provide recommendations
- Prepare cost-effective network and technology proposals
- Support and maintain Microsoft 365, Exchange, Azure, Intune, and related platforms
- Manage Hyper-V and VMWare virtual environments
- Implement cybersecurity hardening and best practices
- Perform regular backups using disk, tape, and cloud solutions
- Maintain accurate technical documentation
- Drive improvements in IT systems and internal processes
System Administrator Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in network/system administration
- Experience with Managed Service Providers (MSPs) preferred
- Microsoft MCSA, Azure, or equivalent certifications (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong understanding of Windows OS (7–11) and Windows Server (2008–2019)
- Familiarity with Microsoft Exchange, Office 365, and cloud services
- Proficient with wireless infrastructure and backup technologies
- Knowledge of cybersecurity standards and system hardening
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
